What I liked / thought worked:
The service project!
The preparation up front by the Pack Leaders
The craft project (lanyard) that cubs (and parents) could work on the
Low environmental impact theme (e.g., minimal disposable paper goods)
What could be better next time:
Not that we had a problem with it, but folks maybe should have been
warned that setting up tents near the fire ring means that it may be
noisy at night
Pack Leaders appeared to want to lead/supervise almost everything.
They could have delegated more, e.g., preparing meals.
I loved that monkey bread from 2 years ago!
What I liked:
The weather, the weather, and of course, the weather.
Enough space between tents that low noises from other tents wouldn't hinder sleeping.
Plenty of tree coverage to allow sleeping in longer
Enough room indoors for activities should the weather have turned.
Arriving Friday night to enjoy two campfires (I'd recommend it be optional for those who can manage on their own for meals, etc.)
Location on the Chesapeake
What I wanted:
More den time to learn songs
Latrine seats that stay open (Although I understand why they do that.)
